Chicken Tikka Marasala

I made this a few weeks ago and it was a hit. 

Mix together
1 C plain yogurt
1T lemon juice
2 t ground cumin
1t ground cinnamon
2t cayenne pepper
2 t black pepper
2 t ground ginger
1 t sauce

pour over 3 boneless skinless chicken breasts, cover and refrigerate for at least an hour.

take chicken out and grill or bake. I also cut them into chicken strips.

Sauce
1T butter
1 Clove minced garlic
1 jalapeno
2 t ground cumin
1/2 t salt
2 t paprika
1 oz can tomato sauce
1 C cream

melt butter in a large sauce pan on medium. Saute garlic and jalapeno for one minute.  Add cumin, paprika, and salt.  Add tomato sauce and cream, simmer for 20 minutes.  Add chicken and simmer for another 10.  Serve over hot rice and garnish with cilantro if you want.

I did double this recipe as we have four adults and four children eating every meal and we had only minimal leftovers/
